The Sports Confederation of Greenland is responsible for sports, federations and associations – and represents their interests of Greenland and other public authorities.
The Sports Confederation of Greenland (GIF) is an organization with 9 federations. In 2023 GIF has appr. 9,200 members – spread across the country.
GIF is responsible for distributing funds from the authorities to the federations. The confederation also has the responsibility to respond to develop and help the sports environment for the public authorities, and advise the federations for international assignments.
GIF provides service, training activities for associations, members and offers advice, information and support for wide-ranging areas.
